Chase lists 5x on travel bought through Chase Travel (excluding hotel purchases that use the $100 annual Chase Travel hotel credit), 3x on dining, gas stations, EV charging, vacation homes at top brands, online groceries and select streaming, 2x on other travel, and 1x on the rest.
Who it fits
- You want one card that earns extra on dining, groceries and travel without a large annual fee.
- You can spend $5,000 in three months without changing how you spend.
- You want a travel rewards card with a $95 annual fee instead of $795.
Who should skip it
- You rarely travel or eat out, so the bonus categories would not apply to your spending.
- You want lounge access or the larger statement credits, which are on the Reserve.
Worth knowing
Chase lists up to $100 in Chase Travel hotel statement credits each account anniversary year, plus one credit of up to $120 every four years for Global Entry, TSA PreCheck or NEXUS application fees charged to the card.
